Abstract

In the second part of his article on the role played by the Australian trading banks in financing foreign trade, the author concludes his examination of the technical side of the trading banks’ foreign exchange business, and of those aspects of the trading banks’ operations which directly, or through their effects on domestic monetary conditions, affect Australia’s balance of payments and exchange rate.
