Abstract
What’s happened to PREP - the UK Central Council’s Post registration Education and Practice proposals? Last year, it appeared only a matter of time before the framework and necessary funding would be in place for PREP to be implemented. Now, however, it seems we must be content with a piecemeal approach to its introduction. Those elements that cost little to put into force are going ahead while the more costly elements have been put on hold. At present, yet another ‘costs and benefits’ exercise is taking place, this time commissioned directly by the Government.
