Abstract
Abstrak Artikel ini mengangkat kisah seorang ulama tersohor dari Besilam Langkat Sumatera Utara, yaitu Syeikh Abdul Wahab Rokan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kejayaan dakwah Syeikh Abdul Wahab Rokan di kalangan masyarakat Besilam Langkat. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan analisa dan kajian dakwah masa kini. Metodologi kajian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian kajian literatur atau kajian kepustakaan dan observasi lapangan. Kajian literatur menggunakan kaidah analisis isi dan analisis dokumen, sedangkan observasi lapangan menggunakan metode wawancara dengan responden dari berbagai golongan dan latar belakang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima faktor yang mempengaruhi kejayaan dakwah Syeikh Abdul Wahab Rokan di Besilam, yaitu faktor metodologi dakwah, pembinaan sentral dakwah, menjalin hubungan dengan pihak-pihak kerajaan, bijaksana dalam berdakwah dan teladan dalam perbuatan. Abstract This article featured a famous ulama from Besilam Langkat North Sumatra, namely Sheikh Abdul Wahab Rokan. This study aims to examine the factors that influence the success of Sheikh Abdul Wahab Rokan's da'wah in the community of Besilam Langkat. The results of this study are expected to be the material for analysis and study of contemporary da'wah. The study methodology used in this study is a literature review and field observation. The literature study uses the rules of content analysis and document analysis, while field observations use interview methods with respondents from various groups and backgrounds. The results showed that there were five factors that influenced the triumph of Sheikh Abdul Wahab Rokan's preaching in Besilam, namely the methodology of da'wah methodology, the central formation of da'wah, establishing relationships with the royal parties, being wise in preaching and exemplary in deeds.
