Abstract

Objective To observe the anesthetic effect of fentanyl combined with propofol in induced abortion. Methods 210 patients undergoing induced abortion between February 2009 and February 2010 were randomly assigned to study group and control group, with 105 patients in each. The study group received both fentanyl and prupafol for anesthesia while the control group received propofol alone. Results The average onset time of anesthesia differed significantly between the study group and the control group [(1.2 ±0.4) rain vs. (1.8 ±0.7) rain, P<0.05]; consciousness recovery time was significantly shorter in the study group than in the control group and the analgetic effect was better (P<0.05). Conclusions Fentanyl com-bined with propofol for induced abortion has a faster onset time of anesthesia, a short time of consciousness recovery, and a better analgesic effect, and it is safe and worth popularizing. Key words: Fentanyl; Protocol; Painless induced abortion; Anesthesia
