Abstract

Objective To study the clinical efficacy of nursing intervention on the laryngeal cancer tracheotomy. Methods A total of 64 patients of laryngeal cancer tracheotomy in our hospital from Jan 2013 to Jan 2014 were randomized into the control group (routine nursing)and the observation group(nursing intervention),32 patients per group. The mental state on pre- and post- operation were evaluated by self rating anxiety scale(SAS)and HAMD self- rating depression scale(HAMD). The patients'knowledge awareness, treatment compliance, nursing satisfaction degree, and the incidence of postoperative complications in the two groups were observed and compared. Results Compared with those of control group, the SAS(42.4±4.1 vs 47.8±4.3) and HAMD scores(25.1±4.1 vs 33.6±4.3) were significantly decreased on the post-operation in the observation group, P< 0.05; compared with those of control group, the patients' knowledge awareness(90.6% vs 65.6%), treatment compliance(93.8% vs 68.8%), nursing satisfaction degree(96.9% vs 81.3%) were obviously increased in the observation group, P< 0.05; compared with that of control group, the incidence of postoperative complications was significantly reduced(3.1% vs 21.9%)in the observation group, P< 0.05. Conclusions The nursing intervention in the laryngeal cancer tracheotomy can significantly reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, increase the patients'comfort and nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of clinical promotion. Key words: Nursing intervention; Laryngeal carcinoma; Tracheotomy; Efficacy
