Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of psychological care on patients with age-related cataract.Methods A total of 126 patients with age-related cataract were divided into two groups randomly.The control group was given conventional nursing, while the experiment group patients were given comprehensive intervention besides conventional care.Blood pressure, heart rate, patterns of life and psychological status of patients before and after surgery were compared.Results The values of blood pressure, heart rate, patterns of life and psychological status of patients in the experiment group were better than those of control group ( P〈0.05 ) .Conclusions Psychological care could soothe the patients with age-related cataract, improve the quality of surgery, and benefit for postoperative rehabilitation.
