Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree of commitment of school principals to the ethics of the profession from the point of view of secondary school teachers and students in the Directorate of Education of the Bani Obaid District in Irbid Governorate. The study was based on the descriptive survey methodology. Two questionnaires were built to measure the degree of commitment of secondary school principals to professional ethics. The studsample consisted of (49) teachers and (379) female students. The results showed that the degree of commitment of school principals to the ethics of the profession from the teachers point of view was high. The degree of commitment of school principals to the ethics of the profession from the students ’point of view was high. The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the degree of commitment of school principals to the ethics of the profession from the point of view of (female and male students), in favor of female teachers.
