Abstract

This paper reports on the cocaine consumption methods used in a sample of 241 arrestees detained in the central city jail, Detroit, Michigan. It categorizes and describes their expressed cocaine methods, reports their relative rank, and evaluates their prevalence and rank variations by sex. The data are derived from interview sessions with volunteers, conducted in situ under conditions of anonymity, and without compensation. The paper reports specific rank-orders, notes that there is variation by gender, and determines that the variation is significant for Chi-square at greater than .001. Some implications of these findings are discussed. I seen the needle and the damage done The little part of it in everyone…. Neil Young
