Abstract

The research aims at identifying the contents of the Palestinian folk song in the Ain Al-Basha district in Jordan, by defining its characteristics, functions, and objectives. Then learn about the traditions related to the different occasions that contributed to the development of such songs, the lyrical style of each song, and the musical notation of the song. This research discusses the basic elements of folklore songs in the Ain Al-Basha district in terms of melody, rhythm and words. It also discusses the most prominent topics of folk songs such as wedding songs. The researcher has followed the descriptive analytical approach, and the research is targeting musicologists, musical composers and critics in different musical fields, in addition, the research is beneficiary to academic musical institutions.
