Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between endocervical Chlamydial Trachomatis and Mycopiasma infections with the spontaneous abortion due to the early embryonic death. Methods Endocervical swabe were taken from seventy-eight women with spontaneous abortion due to embryonic death.(study group) and sixty-five normal pregnant women(normal group). The swabe were used for ureaplasma urealyticum (uu) and Chlamydial Trachomatis (CT)cultivation respectively.The isolation rates of the two groups were comparedf.. Results in the study group,the positive rates were of uu,CT and and uumixed with CT were 43.59% (34/78), 37.17% (29/78) and 16.92%(11/78) separately. In the normal female group, however, the positive rates correspondingly were the uu 10.97%(7/65), the CT16.92%(11/65) and the uu mixed CT 6.15%(4/65).There had significant differences of the positive rate between the two groups (P<0.01).Conclusios The endocervical uu and CT infections could be one of the causes Leading to the early embryonic death.
