Abstract
Objective To summary the composition of ocular trauma and explore effective measures for injury treatment.Methods The data which including gender,age,causes of injury,trauma types and so on in May 1,2012 to April 30th,2013 which was hospitalized were analyzed statistically.Results There were 158 cases of ocular trauma,accounted for 27.62％ of the total number of hospitalizations.In which 116 cases (120 eyes,73.42％) were male and 42 cases (46 eyes,26.58％) were female.The predilection age stages were 41 to 50 years old.The majority injury was caused by traffic accident with a total of 42 cases (26.58％),followed by 27 cases (17.09％) caused by fist punch.Eyelid laceration accounted for the large proportion (47.59％),secondly was hyphema (15.66％).Conclusion Open injury of eyeball and optic nerve injury is the most severe ocular trauma,visual prognosis is poor.Prevention is the key.
