Abstract

Objective To evaluate clinical applications of Eotaxin level in asthma children serum.Methods Randomly chosen from January 2006 to January 2007 in asthma specialty of Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital of Baoan, asthmatic acute attack patients are 35 cases, athmatic remission are 25 cases, and normal control group are 25 cases. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent test (ELISA) is used to measure Eotaxin level in 3 groups of serum. Results The Eotaxin level of athmatic acute attack group is significantly higher than that of athmatic remission group and normal control group(P<0.01). The Eotaxin level of athmatic remission group had no significant difference with the control group. The Eotaxin level of severe attack group is obviously higher than mild-to-moderate group (P<0.01. Conclusion Eotaxin level changes according to asthma condition,which can be used to monitor the airway inflammation,judge therapeutic effect and prognosis. Key words: Bronchus Asthma; Eotaxin; ELISA
