Abstract

A high-standard low carbon target is set in Xiong’an New Area (Hebei, China), and reducing carbon emissions in transportation is one of the effective ways to achieve this goal. But at present, there is no calculation method for carbon emission reduction in transportation that matches the actual situation of Xiong'an New Area. Based on the research and analysis of the existing traffic-emission-reduction methodology and combined with the actual situation of Xiong’an New Area, this paper establishes a scientific, reasonable and operable calculation methodology for traffic carbon reduction in Xiong'an New Area, defines the carbon dioxide emission baseline, measurement boundary, measurement subject and object, calculation method and data sources of low carbon dioxide transportation in Xiong’an New Area and provides a basis for the calculation of carbon dioxide reduction for transportation in Xiong’an New Area, provides a theoretical basis for the realization of green and low-carbon goal in Xiong’an New Area.
