Abstract
Abstract Orthosis/splints for the claw hand deformity have been in use for several decades for rehabilitation of the hand after isolated ulnar palsy or combined ulnar and median nerve palsy. In the current study, we have reviewed the anatomy and pathomechanics of claw hand deformity, the mechanical principles of various types of hand splints/orthosis and their clinical application in hand rehabilitation.
