Abstract

Testing is an integral part of the educational process and one of the most effective ways to test knowledge. The arti- cle examines the advantages and disadvantages of open and closed type tests, and also, using a survey, determined the attitude of students and teachers to writing open type test items. It was revealed that open-type test tasks assess students’ knowledge more objectively than closed-type tasks, but cause more anxiety before writing. It is shown that in the process of conducting classes it is necessary to use various methodological approaches to reduce the level of stress caused by the upcoming testing procedure.
