Abstract

The article substantiates the role and place of a military university teacher as the central figure of the educational process and the head of independent work of students. The characteristic of the most significant pedagogical skills of a teacher and their meaningful analysis in solving these issues are presented. The leading psychological and peda- gogical qualities of a teacher are diagnosed, which are necessary to ensure professional and pedagogical activity in the training, upbringing and development of cadets and students of military universities, and the management of their independent work.
