Abstract

The article outlines the US administration activities with regard to the Artic in 2021–2023: the moratorium on Oil and Gas Leasing Program in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge; military exercises in Alaska and in Norway; continued construction of polar icebreakers; personnel changes in government bodies responsible for the Artic; the boycott of Russia in the Artic Council; “National Strategy for the Arctic Region”. A conclusion is offered that there were no significant achievements in this field while the split in the Artic Council has evolved into a stalemate situation.
