Abstract
The coeditors of this Festschrift sent three questions to a number of Jack Amariglio’s interlocutors to explore the circumstances in which their paths have crossed with Jack’s and how that encounter has influenced them. In this exchange, Olav Velthuis provides an oral history of Jack Amariglio’s encounters and engagements with Arjo Klamer’s circle in the Netherlands and beyond, painting a vivid picture of Jack’s commitment both in the conversations he cultivates across disciplines and orientations and also to the objects (ceramics) he collects.
