Abstract
PrefaceThe 20th International Scientific and Research Conference “Metallurgy: Technologies, Innovation, Quality. Metallurgy – 2017”, was held on 15-16 November 2017at Siberian State Industrial University, Novokuznetsk, Russia.For the first time the conference was held in 1997 and over the last 20 years has gained popularity not only in Kuzbass and Russia, but also in the countries of near and far abroad. There is a constant interest in the results of its work on the part of foreign scientists, managers, specialized research centers and companies. Traditionally, for several days in autumn Siberian State Industrial University turns into a platform for lively professional discussion and acquaintance of the scientific and industrial community with the latest research results and technological solutions in the field of production, processing, welding of metals and composite materials, resource saving, recycling and environment protection, where the dominant modern trends are determined and forecasts for the future are provided.
