Abstract

The current situation of student affairs management at public universities in the North Central region has been analyzed and evaluated. The contents surveyed include: The need, contents, and factors affecting student affairs management. These contents are surveyed and analyzed according to the basic functions of management activities (planning, organizing, directing and evaluating). In addition, factors affecting student affairs management were also surveyed according to different levels of impact and influence. Survey results of officials, employees and learners at five public universities show that planning is strictly and closely implemented in effective direction, organization, and regular inspection and evaluation of student affairs management. However, there are some problems and limitations, for example: The developed plan is still scattered and lacks focus; There are still many limitations in organizational capacity and efficiency; The direction is still heavy on administration, not close to professional expertise; Inspection and evaluation have not fully promoted the inherent strength and functions...
