Abstract

This study comprehensively analyzed the importance of digital media on student affairs management in higher vocational colleges. The current application status of digital media in student affairs management reveals extensive and profound effects. Digital media enhances efficiency and convenience in areas such as: extracurricular activities, socialization, academic performance, ,Student Personnel, Student Services ,Student Development, Communication Tools, Self-Satisfaction and fulfillment& Inclusivity and Diversity. The researcher employed stratified sampling to select 397 respondents from four higher vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province and used a comparative descriptive research design. Based from the data results the students are aware of the crucial role that digital media plays in these domains but their assessment of the role of digital media on student affairs management based on extracurricular activities, socialization, academic performance, and student personnel student services, student development, communication tools, self-satisfaction and fulfillment, and inclusivity and diversity is considered to be less important. With this It was recommended that school administrator should highlight the importance of recognizing and building upon the unique needs and preferences of students in different academic years to optimize the use of digital media for their holistic development and well-being. There is also a need for tailoring digital media strategies and resources to meet the unique needs and objectives of students in different disciplines and maximize the benefits of technology integration in their academic and professional pursuits.
