Abstract

This article examines the trajectory of Teatro Experimental Independiente, one of the leading representatives of the Independent Theatre in Spain. The work focuses on the boom phase of its development, linked to the activity of the playhouse Pequeño Teatro Magallanes. It describes both the origins of the formation of the group, and the foundations of their work, and also presents productions staged between 1969 and 1974.
