Teaching mathematics through the medium of high resolution graphics

Abstract

The Department of Education commissioned the Regional Technical College in Galway to investigate the feasibility of using computer aided mathematics graphics algorithms in the teaching of mathematics at both second and third level. Following our feasibility study we developed and subsequently tested a number of such algorithms with various groups of students. The purpose of this paper is to present the result of our findings which we are convinced will be of interest to educationalists throughout the world.
