Abstract

Objective To explore the expression and significance of transcription factor 21(TCF 21)in breast carcinoma. Methods A retrospective study was performed on 78 cases of paraffin embedding tissues collected from breast carcinoma since January 2006 to January 2008 in The General Hospital of Shenyang Military Command. The expression of TCF 21 in 78 cases of breast carcinoma was detected by immunohistochemical staining method. Results TCF 21 total expression deletion rate was 51.28%, TCF 21 protein expression deletion rate were associated with breast carcinoma tumor size, lymph node metastasis and five-year survival(P 0.05). Conclusion Detection of TCF 21 in breast carcinoma might contribute to the prognosis evaluation. Key words: Breast carcinoma; Transcription factor 21; Immunohistochemical
