Abstract
Abstract The present work was based on field survey to collect, document and identify members belonging to Portulaceae family growing throughout the Bhopal district. In the present work, various field visits were conducted during March 2016 to June 2017 throughout the study area to collect and identify the species of Portulaceae family. The study reported four species under one genus belonging to Portulaceae family. All the species have been detailed with their scientific name, citation, updated nomenclature, common name, local name, medicinal uses, chromosome number, phenology and distribution. The study provides baseline for the conservation and sustainable use of plant resource in the country.
