Abstract

From the results of X-ray structural studies, scanning and transilluminating electron microscopy and also the IR spectra the authors characterize the structure, morphology and properties of polyacetylene as a function of the conditions of synthesis—nature of solvent, temperature of polymerization and the concentration of catalyst. It is shown that polyacetylene with the largest MW and size of the crystalline and the least crosslinked forms in presence of the catalytic system Co(NO 3) 2NaBH 4 in DMFA medium.
