Abstract

The formation of C-N bonds is an essential step in the synthesis of many pharmaceutical drugs. In the present study, diversified novel substituted Piperazin-1-yl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d] pyrimidines are synthesized via Buchwald Hartwig coupling reaction using Tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) as a catalyst and cesium carbonate as a base. All the synthesized compounds were purified by a simple workup procedure and without column chromatography. All these compounds demonstrated a good to excellent yield and were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, DEFT-135 NMR, FT-IR, Elemental analysis (CHNS) and Mass spectral studies.
