Abstract

ABSTRACTIn this work, nanosheet-based MnO2 hollow capsules have been fabricated by a hydrothermal process using the pre-fabricated hollow SiO2 capsules as sacrificial templates. When the obtained nanosheet-based MnO2 hierarchical hollow capsules are tested as the electrode material of Li-ion batteries, they show a large discharge capacity of 1182.9 mAhg−1 for the initial cycle and 198.4 mAhg−1 after 500 cycles.
