Synthesis of heterogeneous catalysts and study of its catalytic activity towards Henry reaction and Asymmetric aldol reaction

Abstract

Heterogeneous base catalyst and chiral catalyst have been synthesized using Merrifield resin as support and characterized. The catalytic activity of base catalyst and chiral catalyst was studied for Henry reaction and asymmetric aldol reaction respectively. The catalysts were found to be good and the products were obtained in reasonable yield
