Abstract
The present research work focuses on the designing of gelatin coated-Au nanoparticles and evaluating their water imbibitions capacity at different experimental conditions. Gelatin nanoparticles were synthesized by single water in oil (W/O) emulsion cross-linking technique and gold nanoparticles by Turkvitch method. For preparing these nanocarriers, ex-situ as well as in-situ methods were adopted and the prepared gelatin coated-Au nanoparticles were characterized by FTIR, SEM, TEM, XRD and in-vitro cytotoxicity techniques. The effect of various experimental conditions, such as amount of gelatin content, pH, temperature, and simulated biological fluids were investigated on the swelling behavior of nanoparticles. The as prepared gelatin coated-Au nanoparticles could be applied as nanocarriers for delivery of anticancer drugs.
