Abstract

Organosilicon model urethanes of different structure have been synthesized and their stability to thermo-oxidative degradation studied. The methods of IR spectroscopy and derivatographic analysis are used to make a quantitative evaluation of the influence of various factors (length of the carbo functional chain from the silicon atom to the urethane group and the nature of the isocyanate component) on the resistance of the urethane bond to thermo-oxidative degradation.
