Abstract

A novel method for preparing PbS/hyperbranched polyester nanocomposite hollow spheres through coordination and organometallic chemistry method was presented. Their molecular structure crystallinity, shape of crystallites, and optical property were characterized with Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and photoluminescence (PL), respectively. The hollow spheres were of the external diameter of about 50–70 nm and the wall thickness of about 10–20 nm. The possible formation mechanism was also proposed.
