Abstract
A series of 5-aminoquinoline derivatives 3a-f and 3-aminophenol derivatives 5a-f were synthesized in order to determine their in vitro antimicrobial activity. The chemical structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectral studies. Among the synthesized compounds, 3a, 3e, 3f, 5b, 5c and 5f showed good antimicrobial activity against tested microbial strains.
