Abstract

Simultaneous administration of immune rabbit gamma-globulin with either nystain or amphotericin B was found to exert a protective action against experimental mouse blastomycosis significantly greater than that which would be expected of an additive effect. The same globulin, however, diminished the protective action of 2-aminostillbamidine. It is suggested that the use in human systemic mycoses of specific globulin together with antifungal antibiotics might result in more effective employment of the latter and a minizing of unfavourable side reactions.
