Abstract

The paper deals with the use of self-help books in therapeutic pedagogically oriented bibliotherapy. The text contains a list of self-help books usable for the start of therapy or as an effective tool for involvement of adult or child to the therapeutic process. It contains the recommendations how a therapeutic pedagogue can effectively use the self-help books as an element that can strenghten therapy and his tasks in the therapeutic process as well as for other pedagogues how they can effectively cooperate with the help of experts in solving burdensome life situations of children, pupils or students manifesting in the school environment.
