Surface deposition probe.

Abstract

Application of surface deposition probe to the study of plasma-wall interactions in torus devices is reviewed. Various surface analysis techniques have been utilized to detect information from the surface of the deposition probes. Interactions of plasma with first wall surfaces are very complicated, since various particles bombard the surface simultaneously with different energies and fluxes. With use of fine surface probes and analysis techniques we have tried to clarify elementary processes of plasma surface interactions.
