Abstract
Eleven alloys of (2InAs) 1− x (CuInSe 2) x with x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8, 0.85, 0.9 and 0.95 were prepared by the vertical Bridgman method. Electron probe microanalysis, scanning Auger electron spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy studies show that the specimens are all uniform and the deviations of the stoichiometrial composition are within the experimental error limits. The differential thermal analysis (DTA) investigation shows that specimens crystallizing with the zinc-blende-type structure x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8) undergo no phase transition, whereas specimens with the chalcopyrite-type structure with x = 0.85, 0.9 and 0.95 have a phase transition at 800°C, 780°C and 750°C, respectively.
