Abstract

Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is one of the most common conditions requiring emergent cardiac care in children [1–4], in newborns [5,6] and durant fetal period [6–8] and large studies need to be done to confirm effectiveness and safety as first-line pharmacological treatment option and prevention [1–8]. We present a case of SVT in the first hours of life of a newborn infant. He was born by cesarean section at 40weeks and one day of gestation with Apgar score=10 points, weight=4100g and length=53cm.
