Abstract
Suppression of polarisation hole burning in the erbium-doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) is demonstrated by converting a polarised signal into an unpolarised signal using a Michelson interferometer which consists of a polarisation beamsplitter and two Faraday rotator mirrors.
