Abstract

Abstract Splanchnic artery aneurysms are rare, and aneurysms of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and its branches are rarer. A pseudoaneurysm can occur in SMA and its branches due to various factors such as infections or inflammation, postsurgical, and posttrauma. Although rare, they can have lethal consequences. Hence, they have to be identified and managed promptly. Here, we present a rare case of pseudoaneurysm of the ileocolic artery (branch of SMA) with contained rupture in a patient postappendicectomy, which was managed endovascularly with a covered stent.
