Abstract

Abstract Arteriovenous (AV) fistula aneurysms are a late-onset complication of surgically created dialysis access sites. They can be of two types: true or false aneurysms (pseudoaneurysms). They can be managed either by endovascular or surgical techniques. We report a patient who presented with an expanding, painful AV fistula aneurysm at the left elbow along with features of left arm and forearm cellulitis. The fistula was ligated and the aneurysm was excised. Postsurgery, the left radial pulse was palpable. Follow-up postsurgery showed a healthy surgical scar with complete resolution of the left upper limb swelling.
