Abstract

This study aims to analyse and assess the development status of One Commune One Product of Vietnam (OCOP) products in Mong Cai city, Quang Ninh province in 2016-2020 and an analysis of factors affecting the ability to participate in the OCOP of business owners of the City through Binary logistic regression model. The results found that in Mong Cai city, the number of OCOP products is high, but the efficiency is not high, and people are not benefiting from the OCOP program. At the same time, research indicated that factors that affect a city’s ability to participate in OCOP include: seeds/initial factors for key product production to meet market requirements; modern production technology and techniques; investment capital for production and business activities; a number of employees of the production facility; forms of production organisation: household, farm, cooperative groups, cooperative, enterprise; market; the protected products; the support of the Association’s organisations for production entities, thereby proposing solutions to sustainably develop OCOP products in the locality.
