Abstract

An experiment on tire-ground performance of TBR tires was carried out by using Tekscan. The real-time changes of contact-area pressure distribution that occurred during the process of continuous load and unload were recorded. Three types of tires that act differently in behaviour during the period of use were analysed. The varying of mechanical-characters of contact pressure of the three tires along with loading process was compared and the relationship between the form of contact pressure distribution and the feature of tire wear was analysed. The conclusion provides a reference for predicting tire performance in the point of footprint.
