Abstract

In this paper, a comprehensive study on the impact of parameters and conditions affecting on the results of hydrostatic test in transfer pipelines and especially steel lines for transporting oil products, achieved significant results on the impact of ambient temperature and temperature conditions on hydrostatic testing which represents the extreme importance of this parameter along with pressure factor. Since temperature and pressure are directly related thermodynamic equation, in transfer pipelines for oil products Abadan – Rey after the doing repeatedly tests in several stages while a reaffirmation of the direct relationship, achieved significant changes in test results due to a direct effect of ambient temperature on the fluid used for testing. That this results can be generalized to similar environmental conditions and even different climatic zones. One of the important results of this research, the importance of completing the pipe coating on pipelines buried in the ground and thermal coating them in different climatic zones.
