Abstract
This study synthesize Co2Y hexaferrite Sr2NixCo2-xFe12O22 (x = 0.0, 0.2, and 0.4) applying sol–gel auto combustion annealed at 1150 0C for six hours. XRD analysis revealed a single Y-type, and the substitution of Ni2+ increased the lattice parameters and decreased crystallize size. In FTIR analysis, the formation of hexaferrite is by peaks at 449 and 557 cm-1. As shown by morphological analysis, magnetic contact results in an agglomeration of grains. The EDX spectrum identifies all hosts and substituted elements, confirming the samples' purity and stoichiometry. Further investigation of the band gap's dependency on Ni2+content is from UV–Vis spectra, which indicated bandgap energies between 2.11 and 2.17 eV.
