Abstract
Tianfumiao Arch dam Located in Yichang Prefecture, Hubei, was operating for six years under the water level in reservoir lower than that of the designed, because the arch dam abutments used to be considered unstable. The extensive research on the dam's stability and in-situ deformation monitoring results have proved that the real safety degree does meet the designing requirements.
