Abstract
Sixteen taxonomic and nomenclatural changes are made in the genera Acrostemon Klotzsch, Arachnocalyx Compton, Nagelocarpus Bullock, Philippia Klotzsch, Scyphogyne Brongn. and Simocheilus Klotzsch (Ericoideae). Nine new species are described: Erica abelii E.G.H. Oliver, Philippia alticola E.G.H. Oliver, Philippia elsieana E.G.H. Oliver, Philippia esterhuyseniae E.G.H. Oliver, Philippia irrorata E.G.H. Oliver, Philippia notholeeana E.G.H. Oliver, Philippia procaviana E.G.H. Oliver, and Scyphogyne orientalis E.G.H. Oliver. Sestien veranderinge in die taksonomie en nomenklatuur van die volgende genera is aangebring: Acrostemon Klotzsch, Arachnocalyx Compton, Nagelocarpus Bullock, Philippia Klotzsch, Scyphogyne Brongn. en Simocheilus Klotzsch (Ericoideae).
