Abstract

Cabai merah (Capsicum annuum L.) merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang penting peranannya dari berbagai aspek, meskipun demikian produksi cabai merah di Kabupaten Karawang tergolong rendah dibandingkan dengan daerah lainnya di Jawa Barat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi antar penciri karakter kuantitatif terhadap produksi cabai hibrida IPB di dataran rendah Karawang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2022 sampai Agustus 2022 di lahan Perusahan Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Peruri), Desa Sirnabaya, Kecamatan Telukjambe Timur, Kabupaten Karawang. Metode penelitan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal terdiri dari 10 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 30 satuan percobaan dan setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 20 tanaman. Perlakuan terdiri dari F1074005 (G1), F1074003 (G2), F1374005 (G3), F1374005 (G4), CH3 (G5), Baja (G6), Balebat (G7), Elegance (G8), Imperal 10 (G9) dan Gada (G10). Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis korelasi dengan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai korelasi positif tertinggi dengan produksi, beberapa diantaranya yaitu, produksi dengan jumlah buah per tanaman (0,895), produksi dengan tebal daging buah (0,559), dan produksi dengan persentase tanaman hidup (0,499).ABSTRACTRed chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the important horticultural crops from various ascpects, but red chili production in Karawang regency is still low compared to other areas in West Java. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between quantitative character traits on the production of IPB hybrid chili in the lowlands of Karawang. This research was conducted in April 2022 until August 2022 on the land of Perusahaan Percetakan Uang Republik Indonesia (Peruri), Sirnabaya Village, East Telukjambe District, Karawang Regency. The research method used a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 10 treatments and 3 replications, so there were 30 experimental units and each experimental unit consisted of 20 plants. The treatment consisted of F1074005 (G1), F1074003 (G2), F1374005 (G3), F1374003 (G4), CH3 (G5), Baja (G6), Balebat (G7), Elegance (G8), Imperial 10 (G9), and Gada (G10). The data obtained will be analyzed for correlation with the SPSS application. The results showed the highest positive correlation with production, some of which were production with the number of fruits per plant (0,895), production with the thickness of the fruit flesh (0,559), and production with the percentage of live plants (0,499).
