Abstract

Parameter umur berbunga, jumlah buah pertanaman, bobot buah pertanaman, bobot perbuah, panjang buah dan diameter buah tidak menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dengan penggunaan kompos ampas tahu.ABSTRACTTofu dregs compost contains essential nutrients such as nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), and magnesium (Mg), which are crucial for plant growth. The aim of this research was to investigate the impact of applying tofu dregs compost on the growth and production of curly red chili plants (Capsicum annum L.). The study was conducted from October 2020 to January 2021 at the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University, Jakarta. The research employed a Randomized Complete Group Design (RKLT) with five treatments, including: No tofu dregs compost + 100% inorganic fertilizer (control), 100g/polybag tofu dregs compost + 50% inorganic fertilizer, 200g/polybag tofu dregs compost + 50% inorganic fertilizer, 300g/polybag tofu dregs compost + 50% inorganic fertilizer, and 400g/polybag tofu dregs compost + 50% inorganic fertilizer. Observations were conducted on the growth and production of curly red chili plants, encompassing parameters such as height and stem diameter from 2 to 7 weeks after planting (WAP), flowering age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit length, and fruit diameter. The research results indicated that the use of tofu dregs compost significantly affected the plant height and stem diameter of curly red chili plants. The most effective treatment was found to be 400g/polybag + 50% inorganic fertilizer, which did not differ significantly from the control (without tofu dregs compost + 100% inorganic fertilizer). However, parameters such as flowering age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight, fruit length, and fruit diameter did not exhibit any significant influence with the application of tofu dregs compost.
