Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe student experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and collaborative online learning in the National Electricity Training Program of the Territorial Polytechnic University of Zulia. As for the methodology, it was under the qualitative approach, the interpretive paradigm and the method was phenomenological. Three students and three teachers were considered. The data collection technique was the unstructured interview and the instrument was the script; reliability and external reliability were determined because a reality was studied in different times or situations. The results indicate that online learning is the way forward because it allows the flexibility and comfort of doing extra activities in real time. It is concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic caused a significant disruption at UPTZ, forcing students to make a complete transition to online learning and teachers to quickly adopt new technologies and resources to teach in new ways.
